Raised Floor System in CIC rooms

 

The second Aegis combat ship in Korea, called Yulgokyii ship, having overall length of 166 meters, 7,600 tonnes, 300 operators with max 30 notts of its speed, start operating late 2009 for Korean Navy.   This DDG-992 (Guided Missile Destroyer) was built by DSME Okpo shipyard in Korea.


The Aegis Combat System is an integrated naval weapons system developed by the Missile and Surface Radar Division of RCA, and now produced by Lockheed Martin. It uses powerful computers and radars to track and guide weapons to destroy enemy targets.   


Initially used by the United States Navy, Aegis is now used also by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force, Spanish Navy, Royal Norwegian Navy, and Republic of Korea Navy. Over 100 Aegis-equipped ships have been deployed in five navies worldwide.

 

Hivetecks honeycomb raised floor systems were chosen by the shipyard for lightweight purpose and anti-static function floor. It was turnkey supplies with modular sub-frames and honeycomb floor boards with special surface treatment for anti-statics.   


550 square meters of all floors with CIC rooms are covered by Hivetecks raised floor systems. 600×600 mm sized module square type of floor are fabricated precious fabrication and ready-made installation methods. It was easy to open and close on site.   Over 1,100 pieces of floor module are well made by the manufacturer, Hongseong Industrial Co., and installed in a short periods of time, so the shipyard were satisfied with high quality products and fast   installation. 


Hivetecks honeycomb panel manufactured and supplied by Hongseong Industrial company in Korea proved over 300,000 cycles of repeated load test in the laboratory, it has a good result from the severe environment.
